I can hear the quiet lapping of water on the rocks. I can feel the chill of Lake Superior's frigid water emanating just inches above the surface, as the rising sun rays begin to touch my face. I can smell the looming hot summer day that is to come. 

This piece was an exercise in flow. I had an image in my mind, and tried to adjust as necessary to make it feel real. There are several spots along Lake Superior's North shore that have a similar look and feel to this piece, and I each one of you can one day seek solitude with the brilliant sunrises along the lake.
