Part one of a two-part series "The Fisherman." This scene was inspired by a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area up the Gunflint Trail in Minnesota. A lone fisherman was observed fishing below the cliffs of Clearwater Lake. With no motorized vehicles allowed on this part of the lake, it was just the fisherman, his sled, and the hope of bringing in a grand fish. This specific piece was put to canvas with the imaginative story that he had been there since the early hours of the morning, waiting for the big one. Hand-made and stretched frame and canvas. Finished in 2020.
